National Population Commission and Ministry of Housing and Urban Development Collaborate for Upcoming Nigeria Census
The Chairman, National Population Commission, Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra, has met with the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, at the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, in Abuja, Nigeria. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss collaboration efforts for the upcoming Nigeria Population and Housing Census, with a focus on generating reliable and comprehensive housing data for policy planning and design.
The Commission says it will work together with the Ministry to provide precise data through the next census, which will be utilized to address the housing deficit and other housing needs in Nigeria. The NPC has already gathered information and geo-coordinates of all buildings in the country, totaling 65,475,250 buildings, through the Enumeration Area Demarcation (EAD) program, in preparation for the forthcoming digital and green census in Nigeria.
