The National Population Commission has taken a step forward in revolutionizing the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) systems by inaugurating the new Technology and Innovation Hub Committee.
The Committee, comprising staff from different departments, will work towards integrating advanced technologies such as electronic data capture systems, biometric identification, and cloud-based solutions.
This initiative aims to improve data quality, accessibility, and overall efficiency in meeting the nation’s evolving data requirements.
The NPC’s decision to launch the Committee is indicative of its commitment to becoming the leading demographic agency in Africa, by ensuring a robust and credible population for national transformation through technological integration and fostering inter-agency collaboration.
