National Population Commission NPC, says the 2023 census remains on course with intensive advocacy, even with the postponement of the national headcount by the federal government.
The NPC Chairman, Nasir Isa Kwarra and his team arrived Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, Wednesday, for a two day census enlightenment and engagement with population managers as well as residents of the north central state on the 2023 census methodology, seeking cooperation towards achieving accurate and credible head-count.
At separate meetings with the Deputy Governor of Kwara State and the Emir of Ilorin, NPC chairman Nasir isa Kwarra briefed them on the level of preparedness with successes on all pre census activities.
The Emir who said the postponement to a date to be determined by the incoming Administration is necessary to actualize verifiable data, prayed for a hitch free national headcount.
